Richard studied law at Reading University and qualified with Wedlake Bell in London before moving to Oxford. Richard joined Manches as a partner in 1999 and is now Head of Property in the Thames Valley office and leads the firm's environmental law practice. He divides his time between the Oxford and Reading offices.
Richard is also recognised in Legal 500 and Legal Business as an expert in environmental law and handles a wide range of environmental and planning law issues include contaminated land liabilities, corporate compliance, landfill and waste management, environmental impact assessment, planning policy, development control, planning agreements and planning enforcement.
His clients include British Salt Limited, Coastal Caverns Inc, General Motors Corporation, The Ethical Property Company plc, Infineon Technologies (UK) Limited, MiTech Group plc, Siemens plc, Staveley Industries plc, The Sunlight Service Group Limited and the Institute for Animal Health.
Richard is a member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA), the Chartered Institution of Waste Management (CIWM) and is a Committee member of the CoreNet Global Thames Valley Branch.
Richard enjoys foreign travel to wild and exotic places. He is also a keen hill walker. |
