Rob became a partner in our corporate team in 2008 and divides his time between the Oxford and Reading offices.
Rob undertakes a wide variety of corporate work, specialising in acquisitions, disposals, private equity transactions (including management buy-outs and funding rounds) and banking support work. Rob has particular experience of working with start-up and early stage companies including university spin-out companies. Rob regularly acts for spin-outs from Imperial College as he is part of the Manches team which is a recommended firm on Imperial's approved panel of legal advisers.
Rob has recently acted for We7 Limited on its £6 million refinancing. We7 Limited is a company which has pioneered innovative technology which allows advertisements to be 'grafted' on to music tracks based on a consumer's personal demographics. He was a key member of the team that supported HSBC on the sale of the Four Pillars Hotel Group, and he has also recently acted for Nexeon Limited, a spin out from Imperial Innovations on its Series 'B' fundraising of £10 million from a syndicate of investors, and for the Shareholders of AmTech Power Software Limited on a BIMBO for approximately £17 million.
Rob is an avid sports fan, but, now that his rugby playing days are behind him, he concentrates on coaching Oxford Harlequins 'Under 7s'! Rob also enjoys water-skiing, golf and cooking. |
