Before joining Manches in 2005 Justin was a partner at City firm Speechly Bircham and prior to that an associate in Baker & McKenzie's London office. He advises on UK and international corporate transactions and issues, including start-ups, funding deals, domestic and cross border acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and reorganisations. He divides his time between the Oxford and Reading offices.
Justin has experience advising clients from a variety of sectors, including in particular technology start-up and growth businesses and university spin-outs, owner-managed businesses and companies in the biotech and construction and engineering sectors. He has also advised on many transactions with an international aspect, for US and German clients in particular.
Recent transactions include acting for the shareholders of Richards Gray on its sale to MacDonald Dettwiler for c. £18m, acting for Swann Group on various acquisitions, including of Eden Structures Limited, Masts Towers & Antennas Limited and the Bevan Funnell group, advising management on the MBO of Oxford Future Thinking Limited, acting for the shareholders of the Mitre Furnishing Group on its disposal to Sunlight Service Group, acting for Archimedes Pharma on its acquisition of the Link Pharmaceuticals group and various funding transactions for technology companies, including a £6m round for deltaDOT Limited and a £5.3m round for Inforsense Limited. |
