Daff read Classics at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, before joining the long-established Oxford firm Morrell, Peel & Gamlen in 1987, becoming a partner in 1995. She joined Manches on the merger with Morrell, Peel & Gamlen in 1997.
Daff heads the employment law department, giving strategic advice to employers on business re-organisations and restructuring. She has extensive experience advising on transfers of undertakings (TUPE) both in relation to business sales and outsourcing.
Daff also advises employers and senior executives on boardroom disputes, and executive appointments and terminations. The individuals she has advised include senior figures in publishing, life sciences, IT, academia and medicine.
Daff is responsible for our multi-disciplinary education law team, which provides advice to higher education and research institutions ranging from governance, risk management, commercial relations, employment and student issues. Daff advises institutions on student complaint and discipline matters as well as employment. She numbers several of the Colleges of Oxford University among her clients.
Daff is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and divides her time between our Reading and Oxford offices.
She is married with a young son and lives in Oxfordshire. Her interests include classic cars - driving her 1966 Sunbeam Tiger whenever she can - and live music.
